Accounts Payable

Accounts Payable 5.4 features:

  • Enter an invoice (with taxes) and apply a payment at the same time for on-the-spot settlement of an invoice.
  • For fixed price projects, capture cost details needed to support summary or item billing in Accounts Receivable.

  • Specify the maximum payment amount for a document in Control Payments.

Accounts Payable 5.3 features:

  • Define and use all the optional fields and values you require within your payables system. The new Transaction Analysis and Optional Field Creator application is required.
  • Print additional subtotals on the Aged Payables and Aged Cash Requirements reports. If your company is multicurrency, the reports will now print a subtotal if the primary sort order is Vendor Group or Account Set.
  • Print the Vendor Transactions report using a fiscal year and period range.
  • View the original document number for Retainage Invoices in Payment Entry.
  • View your vendor payments by bank range, vendor range, check status (outstanding, cleared, reversed, or all statuses), transaction type (prepayment, payment, or all types), date range, year and period range, and check number range using the new Payment Inquiry window. You can now easily view payment information without first determining the bank or the vendor numbers. Simply enter a check number and the check information is automatically displayed. If additional information is needed, you can drill down to the original payment. If you require a printed listing of your payments based on the criteria specified, simply click on the Print button.
  • Place individual invoices, credit notes, and debit notes on hold during invoice entry. The On Hold status is now attached to the document instead of to individual payment schedules as in previous versions. You can also now view the payment status for each invoice, credit note, and debit note transaction in Vendor Activity.

Accounts Payable 5.2 features:

  • Track, calculate and automatically retain a portion of an invoice, credit note or debit note. Retainage accounting is widely used in the construction industry to allow customers to confirm that they are satisfied with the quality of workmanship or goods received before issuing full payment.
  • Specify whether an invoice detail is discountable to allow miscellaneous charges such as freight to be excluded from any discount.
  • Exceed the original discount amount specified on the invoice when processing a payment. 
  • Specify comments for each detail on an invoice, debit note or credit note.
  • Default the document total as the 1099/CPRS amount.
  • Easily view the details of transactions with the enhancements in the Vendor Activity window. You can view:
    • Payments on the Transactions page.
    • Pending payment amounts for transactions.
    • The amount owing and discount available for each multi-payment schedule for invoice transactions.
  • Include payment transactions when printing the Vendor Transactions Report.

Accounts Payable 5.1 features:

  • Use adjustment entry when applying documents in Payment Entry.
  • Take advantage of support for the fiscal year and period specified in Bank Services when reversing a payment.
  • Specify the default transaction type in Payment Entry.
  • Have multiple users print checks from different batches at the same time.
  • Benefit from electronic filing of 1099 miscellaneous forms.
  • Benefit from enhanced document numbering for restricting the length of document numbers automatically assigned by Accounts Payable.
  • Use new contact telephone and fax numbers for vendor records.
  • Use new e-mail, contact e-mail, contact telephone number and contact fax number fields for remit-to locations.
  • Take advantage of minimum-to-report amounts for each 1099/CPRS codes.
  • Specify the method to use to determine the tax base and tax amount.
  • Include vendors with a zero balance on the Aged Payables Report.
