Accounts Receivable 5.4 Features:
- Process a refund for customers using the Customer Refunds feature and specify the payment method – check, cash, or credit card.

Accounts Receivable 5.3 enables you to:
- Define and use all the optional fields and values you require within your receivables system. The new Transaction Analysis and Optional Field Creator application is required.
- Print additional subtotals on the Aged Trial Balance and Aged Retainage reports. If your company is multicurrency, the report will now print a subtotal if the primary sort order is Customer Group, Account Set, Billing Cycle or National Account.
- Print letters and labels for all customers regardless of account aging.
- Print the Customer Transactions report using a fiscal year and period range.
- Send statements, letters and invoices to your customer or contact fax numbers. The Delivery Method for Customers and National Accounts now includes additional selections for fax and contact fax numbers. Sage Accpac requires Messenger to send documents by fax.
- View the original document number for Retainage Invoices in Receipt Entry.
- View your customer receipts by bank range, customer range, receipt status (outstanding, cleared, returned, or all statuses), transaction type (unapplied cash, prepayment, receipt, or all types), date range, year and period range, and receipt number range using the new Receipt Inquiry window. You can now easily view receipt information without first determining the bank or the customer numbers. Simply enter a receipt number and the receipt information is automatically displayed. If additional information is needed, you can drill down to the original receipt. If you require a printed listing of your customer receipts based on the criteria specified, simply click on the Print button.
Accounts Receivable 5.2 features:
- Track, calculate and automatically retain a portion of an invoice, credit note or debit note. Retainage accounting is widely used in the construction industry to allow customers to confirm that they are satisfied with the quality of workmanship or goods received before issuing full payment.
- Create both item and summary invoices within a single batch.
- Specify whether an invoice detail is discountable to allow miscellaneous charges such as freight to be excluded from any discount.
- Exceed the original discount amount specified on the invoice when processing a receipt.
- Post a receipt with a negative, unapplied balance (debit balance) that can be paid later.
- Track unapplied amounts with the original receipt. In previous versions, an unapplied cash document was created for any unapplied amounts on a receipt. Now, the unapplied amount remains with the original receipt for complete control and audit purposes.
- Easily view transaction details with the enhancements in the Customer Activity window. You can view:
- Receipts on the Transactions page.
- Pending receipt amounts for transactions.
- The amount owing and discount available for each multi-payment schedule for invoice transactions.
- The transactions for all members of National Account Customers.
- Include receipt transactions when printing the Customer Transactions Report.
Accounts Receivable 5.1 features:
- Specify the default invoice type (summary or item).
- Specify the default for Calculate Tax in Invoice Entry.
- Specify the default receipt type in Receipt Entry.
- Use enhanced customer options.
- Maintain separate numbers for the customer and the contact in your customer records using new telephone and fax numbers for the customer's contact.
- Send statements and invoices to your customer's billing address, customer's e-mail address or contact's e-mail address using the delivery method.
- Specify for each customer whether to allow a partial shipment of items using the Allow Partial Shipments option. Partially ship items for only those customers that allow partial shipments.

- Specify the default for each receipt you enter for the customer using the receipt type.
- Use new e-mail, contact e-mail, contact telephone number and contact fax number fields for ship-to locations and national accounts.

- Maintain complete statement details and reprint your statements at any time.
- Print statements, letters and invoices using each customer's delivery method or the current print destination.
- Create messages that you can use when sending statements and invoices to your customers by e-mail using the new e-mail Messages form. Specify a code for adding information specific to the customer or your company.

- Show tax details when printing the Invoice Batch Listing Report.
