Inventory Control

Inventory Control 5.4 features:

  • Keep track of goods in-transit using logical versus physical inventory designations.
  • Set up multi-level bill of materials.
  • Automatically post General Ledger journal entry batches created from Inventory Control.
  • Define a table of weight units of measure with conversion factors and assign them to inventory items.
  • Make automatic inventory adjustments where appropriate.
  • Quickly create new inventory items using the Items Wizard.
  • Use advanced pricing features for more control over your sales.
  • Specify a physical inventory adjustment account.
  • Define custom units of measure for inventory items.
  • Separate components from finished product using the “sellable” status for inventory items.
  • Store customer-specific item numbers in inventory.
  • Authorize order entry to use the lowest price for your customer regardless of the contract price.
  • Print a stock movement report.
  • Generate stock aging reports for each all costing methods.
  • Print a transfer form.

Inventory Control 5.3 features:

  • Define and use all the optional fields and values you require within your inventory system. The new Transaction Analysis and Optional Field Creator application is required.
  • Combine any number of items into a single kit using the new kitting feature. You can now sell the kit at a single price instead of selling each item within the kit separately. For example, a customer can purchase a kit of office supplies that contains two highlighters (regular price $0.99 each), two pens (regular price $1.78 each), two pencils (regular price $0.49 each), one stapler (regular price $9.99 each), one paper clip dispenser (regular price $4.99 each) and one tape dispenser (regular price $8.99 each) for $21.99. However, if each item is purchased separately, the total price is $30.49.
  • Automatically default the quantity transferred from the quantity requested when transferring items.
  • Specify a start date for a contract price.

Inventory Control 5.2 features:

  • Choose when the costing process is handled.  You can now cost Inventory Control, Order Entry and Purchase Orders transactions as soon as they are posted or by continuing to use Day End Processing.
  • Keep the details of each transaction. Save and print them and then post them separately or as a group.
  • Print the Item Valuation Report by a range of dates or fiscal periods.
  • Determine pricing by marking up additional costs such as the most recent cost, the average cost, the last cost, or alternate cost 1 and 2.
  • Disassemble master items that have been built from components in a bill of materials and return to inventory as separate items.
  • Link manufacturers’ item numbers to Inventory Control item numbers, including UPC codes, ISBN numbers and shortcut codes that you use to accelerate data entry. Order Entry and Purchase Orders will then let you enter the manufacturer’s item number instead of your Inventory Control item number when processing transactions.
  • Transfer inventory directly and immediately between locations, or transfer goods via goods-in-transit locations to more accurately reflect the process of moving goods between locations.

Inventory Control 5.1 features:

  • Specify items with a user-specified costing method as bills of material components. You can specify the cost for the item when setting up a bill of material or during assembly of the master item.
  • Benefit from additional options for printing the Item Valuation Report.
    • Quantities and costs are now separate options so that you can include any combination of quantity and cost values, such as positive quantities and negative costs or zero quantities and positive or negative costs.
    • The additional valuation method of Default Item Price List lets you print a report that values your inventory using the base price of the selected price list.
