What’s New - Sage Accpac Extended Enterprise Suite The Sage Accpac Extended Enterprise Suite lets you see your vital Sage Accpac data right from within the SageCRM application, giving you a complete picture of your customers and your sales and marketing data without having to switch applications. System Manager 5.3 Features:
- Define all the optional fields you require for the applications you use in your business. The new Transaction Analysis and Optional Field Creator application is required to use the optional field feature.
- Sign on using your Windows domain account. You can now sign on using your:
- User ID and password.
- Microsoft Windows user name and password. If you sign on to Sage Accpac using the same user name that you used to log on to Microsoft Windows, the password will not be requested.
- Specify the server name for all databases (not only for SQL Server) that you are setting up using Database Setup. When you specify the server name, Database Setup automatically creates and configures DSNs.
- Run macros in a Web browser.
- Set up user security rights for Administrative Services windows.
- Select a default paper size for reports that support printing on both letter/A4 and legal paper. When you specify the default paper size in the Print Destination window, reports such as the General Ledger Posting Journals, Accounts Payable Aged Cash Requirements and Aged Payables, and Order Entry and Purchase Orders Posting Journals will automatically use your paper size selection.
- Use the included Crystal Enterprise 10 Express.
NOTE – If deployed on the Pervasive Database, System Manager 5.3 requires Pervasive.SQL 8.6. Of course, IBM DB2, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server remain deployment options as well. System Manager 5.2 Features:
- Automate your bank reconciliation process. System Manager 5.2 uses Open Financial Exchange (OFX), a file format that lets you download bank data electronically. If your bank has a Web site that supports OFX and you have an Internet connection, you can download a copy of your bank statement from your financial institution’s Web site and reconcile your bank automatically.
- Set up enhanced security for your system and your users:
- Set up these security features globally:
- Force password changes.
- Force structure on passwords (for example, require all letters).
- Enforce password length.
- Prohibit a user from re-using a password.
- Set up the these user-specific security features:
- Force a user to change the password at the next logon.
- Prohibit a user from changing the password.
- Prohibit a user password from expiring.
- Restrict a user’s logon days and time.
- Disable a user’s account.

- Take advantage of a SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) interface to the business logic objects to enable Web service-based integration.
- Display and run desktop customizations set up in our traditional desktop when running in a Web browser.

- Use three new options to determine sub-ledger integration with General Ledger.
- Specify whether to display a warning, error or nothing when entering transactions in a locked fiscal period by using the Locked Fiscal Periods option.
- Specify whether to display a warning, error or nothing when entering a general ledger account number for an inactive account by using the Inactive G/L Accounts option.
- Specify whether to display a warning, error or nothing when entering a general ledger account number that has not been set up in General Ledger by using the Non-existent G/L Accounts option.

- Specify the date, fiscal year and period for which reversing payments and returned receipts will be posted by using additional fields.
- Specify the information that you would like to pass to General Ledger by using the reference and description fields in Entries for Bank Reconciliation’s.
- Keep your bank account and General Ledger in balance at all times by posting bank entries at any time – not just during bank reconciliation.
- Reconcile deposits using a select mode or direct mode method by using additional reconciliation options. Select mode lists all deposits and direct mode lists specific deposits.
- Take advantage of tax class tax exemptions for specific authorities. The sub-ledgers will set the tax amount and the tax base for tax authority and classes that are exempt to zero.
- Benefit from surtax calculations on tax amounts for specified tax authorities.
- Use new Finder options.
- Highlight a field using color for the text or the background using color options.
- Decide the starting point for the Finder. Start the Finder in the Filter field or in the first line of the display using the Search First option.
- Search on any field including number fields.
- Use field descriptions or internal field names as column headings with the Field Name as Column Heading option.
- Display all the processing fields using the Columns option. Include the default selection or add the required fields. The Finder respects a user’s security rights. If the user does not have rights to view information (such as cost information), the information is not displayed.
- Export the listing to a file.
- Import and export in XML format.
- Print collated and double-sided reports.
